Dear Community,

Throughout September, and with practical interventions in shelter, water, sanitation, and education. Clean Shelter continued responding to the urgent needs of displaced families across Gaza.

Shelter and Home Repairs

We repaired 57 homes in Khan Younis and North Gaza, while also supplying kitchen tables and toilet seats  to support families in making their homes more functional and livable, at a total cost of 131,000 USD In addition, we upgraded and replaced tents in Zomi and Mariam camps, providing 80 dome-style tents to improve living conditions in the camps at a cost of 48,700 USD.

In parallel, we improved 10 tents for people living with chronic illnesses in Khan Younis by raising and reinforcing them to improve ventilation and create safer, more comfortable conditions. Project cost: 7,300 USD.

Water and Sanitation

We completed repairs to the sewage network for the Al-Nukhala family building in North Gaza and established a new water network for Al-Hurriya camp in Mawasi Khan Younis. Cost: 3,800 USD. Additionally, our team carried out general maintenance works for Al-Buraq Desalination Station, helping support essential water and sanitation services for the surrounding area at a cost of 3,100 USD. The Al-Buraq desalination system is connected to 5 other locations through a basic network and supplies drinking water for nearly 30,000 people each day.

Education Support

Clean Shelter assembled and delivered 70 school desks for two schools in Mawasi Khan Younis: Al-‘Aideen School and Al-Ilham and Al-Amal School. These desks will be shared by 840 students, helping create a more supportive learning environment for children whose education continues under extremely difficult circumstances. This project cost 21,400 USD and was generously funded by a donor from the education sector.

Waste Management

To further improve public health and living conditions, we collected and removed accumulated waste from seven camps along Al-Istabl Street and Street 5 in Mawasi Khan Younis, and from Hamad Al-Qatari camp. Total cost: 3,700 USD.

Your support makes this work possible. Donate today to help us continue supporting displaced families with shelter, sanitation, and water in Gaza.

With gratitude and solidarity,
Seba and Tom,
Co-founders, Clean Shelter
